Arrival by train
Sylt is directly connected to the German railway network. Trains run to Westerland (Sylt). There are regular direct connections from many major German cities; alternatively, travel with a transfer is possible.
Arrival by car
Arrival by car is via the Hindenburg Dam. Vehicles are transported to the island by car shuttle train. The crossing takes about 35 minutes. Especially during the peak season, early reservation is recommended.
Arrival by ferry
There is a regular ferry connection between Rømø (Denmark) and List on Sylt. This route is particularly suitable for guests from the northern region and offers a relaxed crossing.
Arrival by plane
Sylt Airport is served seasonally as well as year-round by various German cities. Taxis, bus connections, and rental cars are available for onward travel from the airport.
Mobility on the island
Sylt has a well-developed bus network. Additionally, taxis, rental cars, and bicycles can be used to explore the island.
